DOLPHIN ASSISTED THERAPY
Dolphin Assisted Therapy is composed of a combination of aquatic methods helping physical and emotional rehabilitation given by a therapist responsable to motívate and create the therapy, where the dolphin plays a fundamental role in the process.
The sonar (own Dolphin communication system), transmits ultrasonic waves of high frequency and different amplitude, which stimulates the production of neurotransmitters, thus favouring those sleeping neurons activation and the spread of the impulse that transmits the information of another (synapses), thus facilitating the stimulation of both cerebral hemispheres. Sonar, also stimulates other body components such as cells and hormones, thus both external changes such as internal.
Dolphin-assisted therapy is a form of purely functional therapy, which not is intended to prevent or cure diseases, but only to rehabilitate and/or stimulate people with Central nervous system disorders or mental disorders.
